They didn't quite connect today while we were watching them.
But later is was clear she was sitting on eggs.
As usual Avocets are extraordinary protective of their space. The Turnstones and a Pied Wagtail had a hard time from them
Absolute emotion in action. - Get out of here!
Let's run down a Turnstone.
Avocet (Recurvirostra avosetta)
The most beautiful leveret - Brown Hare (Lepus europaeus)
Turnstone (Arenaria interpres)
The same group that have been here all week feeding up for onward migration.
Willow Warbler (Phylloscopus trochilus)
Ring Ouzel (Turnus torquatus)
Spoonbill (Platalea leucorodia)
Whimbrel, Bar Tailed Godwit, Yellow Wagtails & Swallows moving.
